Package 2020: from RM1298 nett per table | My impression of Grand Imperial is that their restaurants are nicely decorated, somewhat dark-romantic ish with striking chandeliers and furnishing. There are pillars in the hall. The common problem is that the wedding guests may have to pass by walk-in diners area before reaching the reception. You have to share a space and the event becomes not as private. The good thing is the delicious Chinese (particularly Hong Kong Cantonese) cuisine created by their chefs. However the standard might suffer with huge number of people. In the Hartamas branch, the staff certainly handled the crowd well, and food was hot and arrived steadily and quickly.
I recently attended a wedding dinner here. The design of the banquet hall is the same across the board in all the Grand Imperial restaurants, except for a few like the Royale Ballroom. It is grand, however the kitchen is beside the stage / front area so it is a little messy and not so tidy. The food is good though.

May 2016 For the ROM, my dad and I chose the Grand Imperial @ Hartamas as it is indeed grand, and most importantly incredibly close to JPN Dutamas; which makes moving the guest a bliss.
http://www.vi-vian.com/?p=5377 Feb 2015 Set wedding dinner. Overall, I enjoyed all of the dishes but they would have been better if they were not too salty. Grand Imperial Restaurant is good enough for a Chinese family feast and if you do not mind for the minor imperfections that I spotted for a wedding occasion – apart from the food criticism – it is quite a classy area to say that you have your dinner. 1. The layout – there were too many pillars in the way of the stage and the tables,
http://youhadyourlunch.blogspot.my Dec 2012 I have had a fair few Chinese wedding dinners in the past few months, and Grand Imperial didn’t quite live up to some of the others. That said, I have been impressed by the food at Grand Imperial on previous, smaller occasions, so perhaps it suffered with the huge number of people. The staff certainly handled the crowd well, and food was hot and arrived steadily and quickly. |
