For personal touch, Farouk and Linda had written personal messages to welcome each guest which were placed inside glass bottle place cards at the reception dinner. The dinner menu was impressive and a feast to the eye; Carpaccio of Venison Tenderloin, Lobster Bisque, Kalamansi Sorbet served in ice moulded bowls. The main courses were Roasted Lamb Rack and Pan Fried Salmon Fillet. To everyone’s delight, Banana crème Brulee with orange mango salsa was served for dessert. As the dinner progressed, toasts were made around the tables. The master of ceremonies then invited the newlyweds for their first dance, luring the guests to the dance floor tucked at a corner amidst the trees.
Each chair was adorned with a splayed of palm fronds and orchids, completed with organza ribbons. |
The chairs were arranged in a semi-circle to allow guests to have full view of the wedding. |
As the bride walked down the aisle with her father, the string quartet played a lovely rendition of Sting’s Fields of Gold. |
Later the vows were placed in a glass bottle filled with sand and rhu trees’ fruits which will remind them of their commitment to each other. The guest enjoyed the cocktails. |
Linda glowed radiantly in her white cord lace gown and holding a bouquet of calla lilies. |
Tropical theme centrepieces were created to enhance the jungle-luxe experience. Round wire-mesh wrapped in Garland’s Gold leaves and lemon grass were created to hold candles. |
As the evening breeze blown, the floating lanterns gave a magical effect as if balls of fire illuminated the whole area. |

A good measure of the credit goes to wedding planner Hooi Joo of
Table 10 weddings. Everything was on time and the whole event ran smoothly. Good job, girl! |

Srihari comes from a Brahmin background & Li-Hsian a Chinese
background. Both of them had 2 different cultural ceremonies…first their Chinese Tea ceremony on the 30th of January at KL Hilton and the next day, 31st January,2010 the Brahmin ceremony at Raja Rajeswari Temple, Ampang. And this is what we call cultural bliss…colorful yet so meaningful!
There was no specific theme for the wedding but both the families did
dress traditionally for each ceremony. The decorations depicted Saree ribbons, Chinese lanterns, “Ganesha” chants (related to Indian culture) & the invitations had a motive of Chinese “double happiness” and the Indian “Ohm” character.
We were also touched with the ambiance Hooi Joo from Table 10 created
on that day. Table 10 was the wedding planner of this wedding. Table 10, specializes in planning weddings especially large scale dinner receptions at premier hotels. Hooi Joo has been in this industry for the past 10 years… & Table 10 was launched in since 2004. |
