The owner of Designer Bridal Room KL, Donis Chan was also one of the founders of the brand Lusan Mandongus. The label was originally inspired by the names of the four partners of the label – Donis Chan and his three partners Lusanna, Manson and Angus. The four have since gone their separate ways but Donis Chan kept the brand name. His wedding dresses, sold under the label Lusan Mandongus, are well known in Hong Kong, Japan and Europe for their glamorous styles and impeccable detailing. DBR is his first boutique in Asia outside of Hong Kong.

Pronovias 2018 Bridal Collection at DBR: From what I gather from various reviews, the quality and workmanship of Pronovias gown are said to be exceptional for its price compared to other brands.

At level 2 Victoria Secret, you’ll see a glass door next to it. Go out of the glass door and you’ll spot the Retail Office Block building, just take the lift to Level 9. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a lovely lady who has amazing knowledge on dressing for different body types. Being completely clueless as I am, I had no idea of what I want. She was very patient throughout and sincere in dressing me up in different styles.

I still decided to visit them as I wish to have a look of Pronovias gown – I was so in love with Pronovias gown previously.  After a whole day of bridal gown shopping, I finally found dresses that I can consider them as gowns. The satin are silky smooth and creamy. The layers of tulles are soft and substantial to drape beautifully without destroying the airy feels. The princess gowns are created with more than 12 layers of fabrics so they puff up without can can. The fabrics used for internal lining are as luxurious as the external fabrics. Bra and closets are built in and lined carefully (unlike some of the gowns you found here where bras are just 2 hanging foam cups). Back to Designer Bridal Room. The service is superb. The patience of the gown consultants are beyond imagination. They let me tried more than ten gowns during my visits and I think we spend a few hours there until their closing hours. And it is not just trying, they provided 2 gown consultants to help out with the dressing. After that they just ask me to think about the dress and bid us goodbye. Not a single hint of hard selling. Interestingly, almost all the gowns I picked to try when I was in Designer Bridal Room are either Lusan Mandongus or Annasul Y. There are lots of other gowns but somehow I just didn’t pick any from Pronovias.   Lusan Mandongus and Annasul Y are two related brands originated from Hong Kong but have ventured into international bridal scene.
