Besides parks such as the Bird, Butterfly, Deer Parks and Orchid Garden, taking pictures at the KL Lake Gardens requires no fee. I picked this location for the outdoor photoshoot by my BS, Redbliss. On the day we shot our pre-wedding photos, there were two other couples at the garden already busy posing at the instructions of their PG’s. I couldn’t help it but took a few looks at their dresses, the makeup and hair. I think some of you could relate to the feeling of being unsure if you’ve chosen the right gown or style, there could be other options which fit you better. And the the problem was I started comparing and thought “this dress was nice!”, “I should have gotten my hair tied higher”…
Anyway at the park there were trees, lots of green, an artificial lake and some flowers. You can find a little shades (scarcely), we brought along an umbrella to help slow down the makeup smearing. When the PG (Wedding Acronym) was figuring out the shooting spot, I made use of every opportunity to hide under any shelter I could possibly find. I’m sure it’s not as bad. It’s just me, I cannot be over-exposed to the sun due to a skin condition I have. Overall, some shots were good however unfortunately most of them were just mediocre. My hubby didn’t like the outdoor pictures, the indoor ones were more decent. I was partly to be blamed because of my preference of shaded spots. I am sure the images will turn out more amazing if the background were bright blue sky and clouds in open space.

The Lake Gardens is the oldest and one of the most popular park in KL. The other attraction parks are reachable by walking or shuttle buses. It is also a favorite spot for jogging and other sports activities. The Carcosa Seri Negara mansion is perched on the hill adjacent to the park.
