https://www.tripadvisor.com.my May 2017 Stayed one Saturday night as we were attending a wedding in the linked ballroom. Location is good. A short (~10 mins) walk from Low Yat plaza (packed with electronic goods) and Pavillion which is linked via walkway to KLCC. Room was comfortable and ‘business class’. https://www.tripadvisor.com.my Jan 2017 Come to the wedding event. We were suppose to setup night before in the ballroom, but we werent able to because hotel management never fixed the ballroom light and one part of the ballroom’s plaster ceiling fell off. After making two complaints, the complaint reached the GM’s ears so they fixed it properly. 35 minutes before guests arrival, banquet staff came and told that their projection and signal cable was broken so we had no choice but to use their in-house sound for all videos, but we outsourced our own sound and light company cause we wanted a better sound and light experience. We were very angry and upset because they never had the courtesy to tell us earlier when they clearly knew what the bride and groom wanted (they had several meetings and site recce). |
https://www.tripadvisor.com.my Apr 2015 We celebrated our parents 45th anniversary at the Grand Hibiscus ballroom. Everything from the stay to the function even went like clockwork thanks to the responsive and dedicated staff at Swiss garden. The check-in experience was fantastic. The banquet event hall decorated was done exactly to our expectations and was perfect in every way. A special thanks to 2 particular employees that put in a lot of effort in ensuring perfection. Arlene who over saw all the nitty gritty details of the even and Hakim, the banquet Manager who was especially accommodating to our requests. Hakim was also fantastic in organizing his boys to get the tables and chairs and setup of the ballroom so quickly. Special thanks to the chef too as the food was simply marvelous. Lots of positive comments on the food from the guests. Much kudos to the Swiss garden team!! Thank you for making it a wonderful and memorable weekend for me and my family.
https://www.tripadvisor.com.my Oct 2015 Attended a wedding at the grand ballroom recently. Food was pleasantly above average compared to other similarly priced hotels. So good on Swiss Garden Hotel. However, the last course (dessert) was only served at 10:45pm, despite wedding dinner starting at reasonable time of 8pm. We arrived at the hotel by driving there, and had to drive all the way down to basement level 5 to park the car. Understandable, since this hotel is located in the middle of Kuala Lumpur. Car parks are usually full. What horrified us the most was that you had to take the stairs all the way up. You wonder why would there be no lifts constructed for this section of the building? After reaching, presumably the lobby, you will quickly realize that it isn’t the lobby but some other part of the building where the hotel is a part of. You’ll have to maneuver through this maze (through different levels, as some levels brought us to dead ends) like building to reach the lobby and then walk further up a stairs, to the grand ballroom. It all somehow connected, but poor signage and instructions by hotel staffs really failed the entire arrival at the hotel experience. As we drove up the basement ramps, we saw other guests trapped in their car spots. There are other cars parked illegally on the car park access roads, taking up half the access space, thus preventing the legally parked cars to exit their respective space. Do not drive to this hotel. |
