https://www.tripadvisor.com.my Jul 2016 We hosted the wedding of our daughter at Tanjung Rhu on July 15th 2016. I have a say a huge thank you to the hotel and all the wonderful staff for making the event so memorable. From management through to reception, bar, restaurant and support staff, everything was well organised and nothing was too much trouble. We were well looked after in the lead up to the big day (and there were 14 of us) with great service and fabulous facilities especially around the Sands Pool area and restaurants combined with beautiful views across the private beach and bay. Whether dining at the any of the three restaurants the food and service were exemplary. We particularly enjoyed what was on offer in the Chef’s table where you can experience some beautiful well-presented tasty food. Breakfast provided a really nice selection for guests whether you’re after the healthy or something a little less so! The wedding itself was wonderful from start to finish and the reception in the Chef’s table (which we hired for the night) was excellent with fabulous food and service. Our 57 guests all had a wonderful time. I have read the comments on Trip Advisor and yes the hotel is undergoing renovation but does that matter. To me absolutely not, and remember this is one of the most special days a parent could have and we will be back. Thanks again to all the staff and particular thanks to Salmi and Fizal for all their efforts. The resort itself is wonderful, with 2,5 kms of sandy beach, superb rooms and awesome service from the staff. Lovely meals with astonishing atmosphere. Our wedding ceremony and dinner were organized by the resort itself, including wedding arch, celebrant, hair&makeup, cake, champagne, photography and personal bbq on the beach. We spent 4 days there, received our photo album last day. Airport transfer with luxury BMW car. |
How romantic it is to say “I do” at a secluded tropical paradise with with clear blue tropical waters lapping close by and wild scenic beauty. Get ready to be impressed by their superb service and pro-active staffs. One of the most expensive hotels in Malaysia, you get what you pay for. Tanjung Rhu has a private beach carved out from the rest. Actually from the public beach you will see a fence separating the private beach. The best part of the beach is that there is a walk-able sandbar during low tide and its fringed by casuarina trees making it look picture perfect.
Nearby where it meets the Kilim River, you will see dense mangroves with many small but unique animal life. Go for the Mangrove Adventure Tour which is really good.
