Sep 2017: Thank you Renaissance Hotel JB for giving us a memorable wedding night. We are very happy with the service from the hotel, they are helpful and efficient. Special thanks to my wedding planner, Lizzanne Goh, thanks for all the coordination and arrangement throughout the wedding, she is experience and nice to make sure all in order. Food wise for banquet still have room for improvement. We enjoyed on overall. Thanks once again.

I held my wedding last evening at Renaissance JB Hotel. The ballroom is grand, ambience just right, staff are polite, service is prompt, requests are met with staff going the extra mile – basically my wedding experience at the hotel is perfect, totally beyond my expectations! Kudos to Lizanne, my wedding planner, as well as the banquet manager (sorry, I didn’t get his name). They have worked hard to make my once-in-a-lifetime experience truly extraordinary. Million thanks!

I would like to highlight the help and professionalism offered by the wedding coordinator Ms Lizanne Goh, leading to the successful execution of all the processes during my wedding dinner event on 7th Jan 2017. The team managed to fulfill all of our requests before and during the event. It was a pleasant experience indeed.
The Junior suite was clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable and the room service is excellent. The butler and valet parking staffs were very helpful as well.

Attended a wedding on past weekends. A lot of cars parked outside the establishment probably to avoid the carpark charges from the hotel.
But we choose to park inside the establishment for security purposes. We were drop at the lobby area, no directional signage at the lobby area which showing inhouse event. At least a signage showing the direction. Although we know where the ballroom is but as a 5 start hotel simple signage must have. The ballroom was not ready as the previous event just ended. THey might have over run the event when I arrived around 1845 hrs, they still clearing the reception. We took our time to tour the hotel. We went to the front desk to ask for carpark validation,the receptionist (a guy) seems not sure about everything about the carpark validation. Luckily I’m smart enough the approach the concierge, give me a clear instruction about the validation. Visited the all day dining restaurant. Was greeted by the hostest, out of curiosity We tour around the buffet line. Happen to saw fresh oyster in the buffet line which rarely in JB, I raised a question to the chef, where the oyster from, an answer from the chef ‘I Don’t Know’. A chef cant even answer where the oyster from, cant expect much from the hotel.
It looks like there is no staff toilet, but as a international 5 start they should have toilet separate from the guest and staff. I saw the security using the guest toilet at the lobby. I’m fine with it, but it doesn’t look good.
A lot of part timers serving drinks at the cocktail area. But lack of knowledge when I ask for something. Luckily a chinese lady servers able to answer my question. There was no name tag, and forget to ask about her name, short hair wearing a black frame spectacles. She is the one which change my bad impression to a better ones.
I’m from the VIP table, yes she served the VIP table, service was very attentive from her. Our beverage was constantly refill. Dinner starts slightly late due to the back to back of the ballroom.
Food presentation was the best for the VIP table that ever come across. Most of the item was perfectly garnish and presented. However, my steamed fish turn slight cold close to the room temperature. The rest were fine.
There was not once but several hiccup on the AV, 2 times they have to played the montages, which make the whole scene very awkward and embarrassed. While video played the shold dim the houselight, until the groom shouted lights dimmed.
Saw a staff nearly drop the whole big tray of dirty plates on the floor, part of it drop, but not sure does it affect any guest. So far the best wedding in the JB Hotel they I attended. Water taste chlorine and in yellowish color. For the hotel to find out more.

The lobby is really grand and does feel like a 5star hotel and as for the ballroom, it’s relatively big with a huge reception area. The ceiling is sufficiently high and with the low stage height, it will be ideal for brides who are planning to wear huge ballroom gowns without having to worry about tripping.
